Chef's Choice Palm sugar Gula Djawa 1lb comes from Thailand. The difference from Malaysian and Indonesian palm sugar is the color. This Thai sugar is lighter.

Palm sugar can be melted as syrup, but can also be finely or coarsely grated. Delicious in curries, sauces, boemboes and, of course, desserts. The light color, for instance, is handy when you want to put melted sugar over desserts. Moreover, also delicious for seasoning sticky rice or coconut pudding.
